Spaghetti Bowl Xpress (SBX) Traffic Control Update | Week of May 1, 2022
Traffic control and detour maps are available here. Construction operations are weather dependent and subject to change.
COMING SOON: “Sneak Peek”
Beginning Monday morning, May 16 at approximately 6am, motorists will be shifted west and driving on the new southbound I-580 concrete lanes, offering a “Sneak Peek” of the final freeway configuration. Lane reductions will still remain until the middle lanes are completed through the end of the year. To prepare for the shift, crews will need to re-stripe lanes, requiring multiple ramp and lane closures from the Spaghetti Bowl to Villanova Drive.
Crews are preparing for a marathon week of ramp and lane closures beginning the week of May 8 to prepare for the “Sneak Peak.” Motorists can expect the nightly ramp and lane closures from 8pm to 6am beginning Monday, May 9 through Monday morning, May 16. Consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time. Detour routes will be clearly marked. More details will be provided the week of May 1.
