Spaghetti Bowl Xpress (SBX) Traffic Control Update | Week of September 4, 2022

Traffic control and detour maps are available here. Construction operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

HOLIDAY AND SPECIAL EVENT TRAFFIC

SBX traffic control will be reduced through the upcoming Labor Day weekend, and for the ongoing Burning Man and Rib Cook Off events. Still, expect increased traffic on Reno-area roadways. Plan ahead, leave extra time for travel, and have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Reno Spaghetti Bowl Ramp Closures

The following ramps will be CLOSED intermittently overnight from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9. Please use marked detour routes.

  • Eastbound I-80 to northbound US 395.
  • Eastbound I-80 to southbound I-580.
  • Westbound I-80 to southbound I-580.

Northbound and Southbound I-580 Lane Closures

Nightly lane reductions on northbound and southbound I-580 between the Spaghetti Bowl and Mill Street from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday, September 6 to Saturday, September 10.

Northbound and Southbound I-580 Second Street/Mill Street On and Off Ramps

Access to Second Street and/or Mill Street will be CLOSED intermittently overnight from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9. Access to one route—either Second Street or Mill Street—will be available.

East Fourth Street Lane Reductions and Shifts

Day and night lane reductions and shifts take place on Fourth Street from Galletti Way to Sixth Street from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9.

Note: Brief daytime traffic control delays to be expected.

Vassar Street Lane Reductions

Day and night lane reductions on Vassar Street under I-580 from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9.

Market Street Shoulder Closure

Daytime shoulder closures on Market Street near Vassar Street from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9.

Kietzke Lane Closures

Kietzke Lane from Kuenzli Street to Galletti Way will be CLOSED overnight from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9.
